Lower Kansies Road is a spacious self-catering holiday home, situated in St Francis Bay. Perfect for a large family or a group of individuals looking for comfortable lodging with a touch of luxury, away from the city's hustle and bustle.
The house has a thatched roof and comprises 4 spacious bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, and is fully furnished for your comfort. Two of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor and have King beds. one of these bedroom's has a mezzanine level that sleeps an additional 2 persons, on twin beds. Each of these rooms has its own private courtyard. The other 2 en-suit bedrooms are located upstairs, furnished with King beds and each room has its own private balcony with views over the tree tops to the ocean.
The fully equipped kitchen contains a fridge-freezer and a microwave, an oven with a stove as well as a dishwasher, and ample built-in cupboards which contain crockery and cutlery for a dozen people. There is a large breakfast nooks that comfortably seats 12.
The dining area has a 12 seater dining room table, from there, large French doors open out onto a delightful covered wooden deck with comfy funiture and a large gas barbecue for outdoor cooking and entertaining.
The lounge area that leads off the dining room boasts 2 large comfortable sofas, and a TV that has selected DStv channels. There is a guest loo tucked away in the corner, conveniently close to the entertainment area.
Parking is available for 4-6 vehicles behind a remote-controlled gate, and Lower Kansies Road is walking distance to the beach. The property is In close proximity to the Centre of the village where you can access the grocery store, coffee shops and restaurants, clothing stores, bicycle & boat stores, surfing equipment etc.
There is a World class Links Golf Course and a another top class village golf course as well as a variety of water sports and outdoor activities within the area.
Rediscover healthy outdoor living in excellent company. There are walks and trails, acres of fynbos and in early summer, wild flowers carpet a large expanse with purples, yellows and whites. With its sheltered waters in the river and the bay, water sports are very popular in St Francis Bay.
For land-based activities there’s the golf courses, which is considered to be the closest to a Scottish links to be found anywhere in South Africa. One can also take a leisurely horseback ride along the pristine white beaches of the bay, or through the hills colourfully clothed in rare Cape coastal fynbos. There are active bowls, squash and tennis clubs, you’ll never run out of opportunities to enjoy St Francis.
The Kromme River, some days a living mirror, sometimes resembling a strong sea, is navigable for 8 kilometers and is the favourite of many a fisherman and sailing enthusiast. The beaches epitomize perfection - the whitest, cleanest stretches of sand on the South African coastline. St Francis Bay is home to Bruce's Beauties, one of the worlds best known beach breaks, featured in the 60's cult film Endless Summer.
